Despite its modest dimensions, the next-RAP8 offers an exceptionally diverse I/O suitable for robotics applications, including both 2.5 GbE and 1 GbE LAN, six USB, two RS-232/422/285 pin headers and an 8-bit GPIO.
Powered by 13th Gen Intel Core processors, the next-RAP8 is an exceptional high-performance platform with processing power of up to 10 cores and 12 threads across 15W CPUs. The speed at which the next-RAP8 processes data makes it perfect for edge AI and drone applications, where its unrivalled connectivity, versatility and ultra-small form factor is complemented by its 16GB of on-board LPDDR5x memory, reducing latency for mission-critical data transmissions.
In addition to featuring an I/O that supports a wide range of peripherals for robotics and drone solutions, the next-RAP8 is compatible with AAEON's PER-T642, PER-T643 and PER-R41P adapter boards and kits. These allow users to unlock a range of additional features via expansion modules, including AI acceleration, wireless communication and extra storage or advanced graphics cards.
